The throw is really well made and is larger and heavier than I expected. Im always cold and think the throw will do a good job of keeping me warm. I bought it mainly to add some texture to my living room, but I will definitely get a lot of use from it. Catavento wrapped the throw and attached a thank you card, along with their current catalog which was a nice touch. Also, they donate a blanket for children in need for every blanket purchased.

This throw is constructed of a soft yet durable cotton. It is substantial enough to keep you warm but not thick like the faux fur/wool blankets that are sold everywhere. It would work well as an outdoor blanket, or could just as easily serve as a shawl for walks along the beach at night.

I just received my Pampa striped throw today. Thank you for packaging the throw so beautifully. Having it come wrapped in tissue paper felt much more special than when things arrive in plastic bags. I just received this "throw" and I really love it. It is a nice size- larger than a traditional "throw blanket". It feels very durable and I was thinking it could be traditionally washed at home- but upon checking the care tag- it is dry clean only. Probably because it is hand made and this will help ensure it keeps it's beautiful character.

All I can say is WOW! First of all, this was packaged beautifully. I opened the box, and found the blanket, a care/product book, a GORGEOUS hand-woven blanket, and a dust bag. I opened the book, and inside was a hand-written note thanking me for my purchase. The blanket is absolutely beautiful, it is the perfect balance of soft and sturdy. It is not a big blanket, so I will keep it at the foot of my bed. Most of all, I love that every time you purchase from this company (Catavento), they donate a blanket to a child in need. I absolutely love this handwoven merino wool throw. Made in Argentina of 75% ultimate merino/25% wool. It is very high quality and even came with its own booklet!
